About the Remington 11-87
The 11-87 updated the Model 1100 platform with a self-regulating gas system designed to cycle a wider range of shell loads, from light target loads to heavy magnum hunting rounds. It was offered in field, sporting clays, and turkey/waterfowl-specific configurations.
Because it shares much of its overall design lineage with the 1100, the 11-87 is often compared to it, though the two are not interchangeable in all parts and are viewed as distinct models by collectors and shooters alike.
Camouflage-finished waterfowl and turkey variants, along with standard blued field guns, make up most of what is encountered on the market today.
