About the Ruger Super Redhawk

The Ruger Super Redhawk was introduced as an enlarged, reinforced version of the Redhawk aimed at heavy magnum hunting cartridges, featuring an integral scope-mounting system built into the top strap. This made it popular among handgun hunters wanting to mount optics without separate bases.

It has been offered in a range of magnum chamberings over the years, including some of the largest handgun cartridges Ruger has produced revolvers for, alongside more common .44 Magnum versions.

The Super Redhawk's heavier unfluted-appearing frame and extended frame-to-muzzle profile distinguish it visually from the standard Redhawk.
