About the Glock 34

The Glock 34 is a competition-oriented 9mm pistol featuring a longer slide and barrel than the standard Glock 17, along with a slightly extended sight radius intended to aid precision shooting in practical and action shooting sports. It retains the standard 17-size frame.

Later generations of the 34 have incorporated Glock's Marksman Barrel (MB) designation and updated internals aimed at improving accuracy for competitive use, along with MOS optic-ready variants.

Because the 34 is often used in competition, buyers evaluating one may consider round count and mechanical wear more heavily than on a lightly used duty or carry pistol.

Valuation

What affects Glock 34 value

We do not publish a price chart. These are the characteristics that determine what a specific example evaluates at.

  1. Factor 1

    Generation

Gen3 through Gen5 versions differ in frame and slide features, and identifying the generation is part of evaluation.

  2. Factor 2

    Round count and competition use

Because the 34 is frequently used in competitive shooting, accumulated round count and resulting wear are practical considerations.

  3. Factor 3

    MOS optic-ready slides

Optic-cut slides are assessed as a distinct configuration from standard slides, particularly relevant for competition use.

  4. Factor 4

    Factory versus aftermarket parts

Original barrel and internal components as opposed to aftermarket competition parts affect how original the pistol is relative to factory configuration.

  5. Factor 5

    Barrel and slide condition

The longer slide and barrel are inspected for wear consistent with extended use.

  6. Factor 6

    Included magazines and case

Factory magazines, box, and manual contribute to overall completeness.
